Early spring is the perfect time to implement a correct watering schedule then modifying it slightly each month going forward through the entire year. (go to water schedule page for more details)
The spring time when plants and trees coming out of hibernation benefit from in-frequent yet long deep watering on a particular water day. As each month progresses slowly move your watering frequency closer as it gets warmer. Early spring is the best time because once it gets hot if you try to go backwards and readjust the frequency the plants may stress or even fail. Caution if your landscape is under one year old. Newly planted plants need water more frequently because their root system is not established.
